I do this as well, since on mine the two bolts are visible once i climb down into the bilge.
But the question remains, would moving to even a two belt serpentine belt set up, be worth the trouble. The wider belts seem like they would last longer and not create the belt dust.

Serpentine Belt Conversion
Has anyone found or installed a serpentine belt conversion for the big block GM motors? I am thinking it might be a good up grade to the v-belts and while i have found some kits, I was wondering if any b33 owners had done this with success? Thanks in advance. Jay Sanford "Spar Oom" 86 SF M...

Just did this install. Moves water well, we will have to see the final result. Its set to pump 1 minute twice a day.
For the less handy there are now cheaper options available for less than 200 bucks at retailers like West Marine.

This was pretty much built from scratch, as what started as a support the sagging counter, quickly became a full rip out and an redo. The counter came from IKEA for about $80, the panels were all stained plywood. While I did reuse the doors and drawers, you can pick up these pretty cheap at any home...

I did this when i had to replace the galley after the termites got through with it. Went with a dual voltage fridge over the engine box for easier access, as I am tall. Lost the over counter storage, but with the extra room gained by moving the sink, i think i came out ahead. Still haven't figured o...
