Re: Selling my Bertram
If I may.... What are you asking? Do you have a listing or the SPECS? I am in the market for another 33. Thanks!

No Oil Pressure on 3208T
So the winter has been rough here in Norfolk. I have been dealing with Charger/Battery problems and think I have them worked out (mostly). Just when I thought everything was going good I started the engines, twin 3208T. I always watch the oil pressure when I start them. The port started with oil pre...

Fuel tank questions
I know there is a ton of stuff posted regarding fuel tank replacement but, I cant find anything on this matter. I am pretty sure my tank is leaking. not one hundred percent sure but sure enough to start figuring out what I am gonna do. I always have fuel in my bilge after running the boat. After I r...

I was talking to a friend of mine who owns a tree removal service and a lot of his heavy eqpt is diesel powered some 3208s in particular. He says to switch from conventional to syn late in a diesels life is very dangerous because of the agressive detergents in syn. They will break loose deposits in ...

Long and short. I have the 3208T's in my 33sf. They make 275 and that is plenty. They are also super heavy which adds to the stability of this very stable boat. The 3208T, in theory should last a very long time because it is so overbuilt(it is designed to not ever be resleeved so the block and cylin...

Fuel Tank Dimensions??
Hey I know there are litteraly hundreds of posts on here regarding fuel tanks: materials, setups, fuel types, dimensions, best ways, worst ways, etc. The only dimmensions I can find are for a 33' 1975 SF. I have a 33'83 SF that is going to need to have a tank job done soon. I am trying to find the p...

Most of your problems sound pretty reasonable. EXCEPT the 3208s. I have 3208s in my Bert. They are awesome unless they sit. 2800 hours is not a lot of hours on a 3208t, these engines typically last 6000 and if treated properly will easily see 9000 hours but if they have sat for any great length of t...

The deal is really simple. As far as tv goes if your current tv gets digital channels you are good to go. If you have an older tv you will need a converter box. As far as antennas go, any analog antenna will work just fine. You do not need a crazy expensive tracvision or any thing like that. Rabbit ...

When I bought my 33sf the Survey Mechanic who is a CAT god told me that by just adjusting the fuel pump regulator you could easily be looking at 300hp with 270 HP 3208Ts. He also said it was a bad idea because the 3208 was designed to handle 300 hp or less. You can do 3208TAs that make 420-440 but t...
