Navpod is the brand you see a lot, they are available from most of the major retailers. Bertram didn't leave a lot of space on our boats.

Another manifold trick, break the bolts loose when the engine is hot. We do it a lot on older equipment. Kinda sucks in a hot boat engine compartment though.

I have to replace the splash screen on the flybridge at some point as well. Looks like he might be the man for the job.

What are the odds? That is great. Once again it was at a distance and was a Post or similar boat in Essex if I remembe right. I will contact him when I get a chance. Thanks.

There is far too much bad press regarding Atlantic I agree. I got a bad vibe dealing with them thus far too. Anyone ever delt with Essex Marine Fabrication? Spoke with George today and seems to be a well run outfit, the best so far. Once again twice the cost, but it's a Bertram do it right!

So Brian Davin do you want to chime in? Custom tops seem to be roughly twice what Atlantic's are, but Atlantic's are not installed either. I really don't like the pushy sales at Atlantic, and I understand what you are saying with the mount. It would be better mounted to the cabin roof than flybridge...

Against prior recommendations here I did my own just last weekend, and did a few windows twice until I liked it. It took a bit to get comfortable with the process. Having done a lot of vinyl sign application, the process is similar, material quite different. I am pretty picky, it isn't bad at all th...

Lighting

I just finished tinting the windows for some privacy and it is now even more apparent the old incadescent (sp?) lights are in need of replacement. Not too bright and the plastic is shwing it's age. Has anyone done anything that has worked very well? Particularly in the salon?

I have a wife and two year old too, so a "little" weight in gear I am sure. Normally the fuel is half full or better and water on the full side. Without the tabs we don't move much at all, but with enough trim tab I usually cruise 18-20k at 3100 rpms. My props are the original pitch (I for...

Great fuel burn, but then I realized you averaged 10 knots. I can't seem to get much more than 2 gallons per mile at 18-20 knots.

Not to hijack the thread, but on a similar note has anyone ever seen a good bike rack? My wife always wants to bring bikes, but I hate the grease on the boat, tripping over them and wondering what part of the boat is going to get scratched. I caught someone last week on vacation with the bikes hangi...

I have to say there are a lot of 31's out there, or at least participating. We had to leave Sat morning, but Greenport had it's fair share of Bertrams, including Brian D.'s 33, mine and one other.

Where did you guys gets yours fabricated. I know there are mixed reviews, but Atlantic has a well priced "custom" top, although it looks as if it might adjust to fit a few boats.
