I have made all of that trip, but not all in a B33. I live in SW Florida so make the trip to the keys annually. A couple of years ago I ran a 43 Ocean Alexander from Green Bay WI to Naples. Most people cross the Gulf from a little further west, but we left from Panama City and ran to Clearwater whic...

Scott: I replaced my entire rub rail about 7 years ago with white PVC w/ stainless insert. It came out nice. We used screws with sealant along the way. However, during the survey after refit the insurance company wanted the front 10 feet through bolted to get an offshore rating. It wasn't a big deal...

I have them, but have never used them other than for start up and shut down. I prefer running the boat from the flybridge because of visibility. I have considered removing the lower controls, but I would not gain anything. The cabinet where the controls are mounted also contain the electrical panels...

In SW Florida the A/C is critical. I have to cover the window, routinely clean the strainer. I have a single 16K BTU unit and I have notice that the vent that I added in the salon has airflow that is several degree warmer. I believe it is because that vent hose is not insulated like the others and i...

Mike: That is about what mine will do on a sunny day here in SW Florida. I have foam board panels under my windshield cover, and keep all the curtains closed, and It will stay below 80 degrees but will run all day. there is just a lot of glass and cabin to cool.

I had my boat moved about 300 miles over the road without removing the fly bridge, but they used a hydraulic trailer and removed the windshield and everything else that was higher than the fiberglass dash. In addition, he had an extra high permit, and we were right at the height limit.
