I haven't between online much for awhile, but boats been idle since September. Hoping to get out next month, deepwater lingcod, rockfish, and tasty Dungeness crab awaits! Hope everyone is doing well, as much as one can be. I'll try not to be a stranger as much.

375hp is as high as I would go with the 3208s. There are other powerplant options for our boats, but 3208s are still a great engine with proper care and use.

rubber or vinyl window glazing for sprayshield?

I'm finally getting around to replacing the plexiglass spray shields. It appears I'm looking for 1/4" vinyl or PVC glazing, but its 3/4" tall. I can't find a source for the 3/4" stuff. Anyone know who sells the deep stuff? I could take some PVC gasket material which will work, but was...

A few thoughts to close out this thread. The H25 has a larger fluid capacity meaning less turns lock to lock. The email I received said it should be about 3.5 turns L to L. The H26 (I assume most of us have this one) is about 5 turns L to L so I'm going to swap the 2 pumps and use the H26 in the fut...

"I have a feeling you got the numbers reversed. 21 diameter by 22 5/8 pitch makes more sense." A lot of people say that, but my numbers are not reversed. I bought these 23 x 21 no cup props to replace the ones that 'disappeared' during shipping. I added a cup, then a little more and finall...

FYI, the H25 came from a 2 helm boat. I would be curious if the pump can be converted to the other?

Hynautic helm pump questions

Seastar still manufactures Hynautic helm pumps, the H21 and H25 models. After checking twice, I have a H26 pump. Seastar does not even show a H26. I only have the FB helm and I do not know what cylinder I have on the other end. My buddy gave me an H25 pump and was hoping to add a cockpit station. Do...

I used a hollow 3/16" poly rope around the entire perimeter, stuffed it to the bottom, and then sealed right over it. So far, so good. I will probably never see it again in my lifetime, at least that's my plan!

I'm 14 tons according to the "net 14" painted in the bilge. Gears are ZF220 1.5:1 with 1.75" shafts. No harmonic issues unless the rpms are not synced. I always thought my tip to hull clearance was too low, but the prop guru says unless I'm peeling bottom paint then I have nothing to ...

Do you have trim tabs? The originals I have are undersized and do very little. I don't know if mine even work at the moment. Something to consider given the hp you have. Still cheaper than a repower or convert to 320hp. Set of 36" x 9" might be just what you need to get over the B33 hump, ...
