Swim Platform

Has anyone had a swim platform made for a 35 Bertram? After the last few weekends, climbing up on the three steps mounted on the transom is not fun. And I’m always afraid someone is going to use the trim tab as a step. Thanks.

With my diesels they spin on a dime-you can feel them engage when you shift them. Most twin outboard boats I've driven, it takes a little bit of throttle to get the same effect as just shifting a set of inboards. These boats are fairly heavy in my opinion for outboards.

Last year was the first year of no yard work. However I ended up updating the V-Berth interior from the original carpet and wallpaper on the bulkheads to new carpet and a foam and vinyl upholstrey combination on the bulkheads. Came out pretty nice for my first attempt at uphosltrey work. This year i...

Asher, Good buddy! Holding down the district energy system on Baltimore! How is Buckshots rehab going? I’ve looked at the space under the sink. Plenty of room and could punch the supply vent through the side berth foot board probably. But unsure where I would put the return vent louvre. Still all in...

Rather han start a new thread, I’ll continue this one. Looking to replace the AC units in the boat with a new self contained. I know normally not supposed to install in the engine compartment for fear of exhaust gases contaminating the air and being bad and what not. But if I plan to never use the t...

I assume I have the original tabs. If I do play with them I can get more speed out of her. I’m very content with the numbers I have until I hit the lottery to start trying new props and tabs. I’m averaging 21-22 gph at 2350-2400 and 18.5-20 knts. Not the fastest boatnon the Chesapeake but for what I...

I’m running 19-3/4â€ x 21-1/2â€ 3 bladed woth no cup. At 2350-2400 I am running 18.5-20 knts depending on current, wind, and bottom growth. Max wot 2800 rpms I’m running about 26-28 knts. It seems I’m a little under sized based on everyone else’s response. I’m ok with the numbers i can hit. More i...

V Berth Interior

Has anyone replaced the wall paper and carpet in their V-Berths? First off Bertram used some kind of adhesive they intended for removal I’m pretty sure. My carpet that went up the sides of the V-Berth was pretty sure original, and pretty disgustingly colored the wallpaper was ripping and and a disgu...

Tony, Here is a link to their website. They ask for a picture of your boat I guess to size it up first. It is a thought I am contemplating after this winter. This will be the first winter outside and unprotected. Hopefully we get a 50 degree Saturday around here so I can give her a quick rinse down....

Maybe not a winter project but didn’t want to start a new thread for this. Has anyone bought or installed a whole boat cover for the winter? I found a company out of NJ, Fisher Marine Canvas, that makes semi-custom whole boat covers. I got a quote for a little under $4k for the cover, complete to th...

It's standard 3208 Cats. It's a pain to scrub it off every time but if not it builds up. 3208 cats smoke a little even if they are running perfect. Head over to boatdiesel.com for more information. Lots of good articles.
