Ordered Props Today Trying 22x25 4Blade Outward Rotating Just for Clarification I have 370hp with 1.75:ZF with a 1.75shaft. Based the decision on the Prop Shop and the Cummins Engineer...It matched the Calc on BoatDiesel when i used "Average Planing" - 19500lbs and max RPM of 3K... The Pitch recomendations Vary when i alter the Hull FORM but the diam is always at 22. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. I also have my Old props and shafts for sale -- will post pics later today. The shafts are A22s 1 is 1 year old the other is 4 years old The props are Nibral 23x26 1.5 1 is 1year old the other is 4 years old Both are the exact Model from Michagin Wheel. They are in Mint Cond

Robert, I may be interested in the shafts. What are you looking to get for them?

Ill measure the Shafts this afternoon. Trying to figure out the value of the used props-- they are truly perfect -- I paid 1650.00 per prop from Tacoma Prop....

Sea-Trial scheduled for tmrw... Yard is working hard but the project is obviously taking twice as long as expected. My current question i need opins on is what is the best material to substitute the BertramBoard on the cockpit sides.... The original boards are shot... My yards plastic guy suggested some type of ABS and that it was way better then starboard --claimed he had it in motion ordered etc. and now they are rushing and outsourced it to the local plastics guy and are using Starboard. I understand there is a whole host of "Modify&Adjust" with the scope of work being done but im loosing trust in their recomendations when they are 180... Also -- anyone south of Maryland --if your interested in the shafts and props --im bringing Lulu down to FL and will deliver them somewhere on the ICW -- might even throw in a third Prop...

quote:im bringing Lulu down to FL and will deliver them somewhere on the ICW How far south are you coming? If you go through my area you will most likely be stopping at Melbourne Harbor for fuel, because since the 2004 hurricanes wiped out the competing marinas, they have a pretty good lock on the southern half of this County for fuel. They are also well known for their meticulously clean fuel, nearly everyone moving a boat north/south stops here. If you are coming this far south let me know... would love to say hi and also to see what you've done with the boat. I might be interested in those 1.5" shafts too

SeanB-- I end up down in Boca--- In a perfect world Im outside from BFort till Boca (except of course for fuel and sleep)...If wthr is ok -- Im usually out Bfort back in Masonboro out Capefear then fuel stops at Gtown (waiting to see how good my range is with these new engines) Hoping to make St Aug in one run then maybe if range as good as i hope, Boca inlet. This is of course based on conditions -- in prior years i get about about 2/3 or what i hope for...I can work out dropoff in multiple ways-- My employee and good friend who helps me take her down has a house in Mlbrn so i can easily get the shafts to you once in FL. Rick -- I think our boats, although production, the exact engine mounts and installs probably varied depending on how many coladas the installers had and/or any upgrades/replacements/etc over the 25plus years---we could probably find a 1-3inch variance of shaft length from 1 boat to another--- but based on my prior posts i really dont know enough on the mechanical (except that my wallet hurts when shes not running well)

Robert... We are located on the ICW about 1/2 mile south of Carolina Beach Inlet, between the Masonboro Inlet and Cape Fear River. If you are planning to refuel in this area it will most likely be at Wrightsville Beach, 10 miles north of us. Feel free to give us a call if you need anything or if you have a layover day it would be great to meet up with you.

3/4" isn't that much in the grade scheme...but I'm sure there's a reason we'll never know from the factory. The props look sweet, bet it looks a lot better in the engine compartment too. Good luck ! Rick Ticket 85 SF Merc 454 MPI's Falmouth, MA

Robert - St. Augustine to Boca is almost 300 miles, that's one hell of a run! I don't know my shaft length offhand, but I hope to have the boat hauled for a bottom job within the next month or two, and will measure then to see if yours would work for me. When are you making the trip south?
