front windows
front windows
has any one blocked in front windows on a 33 or 35 and if so what was involved i think this modifaction would do much to make boat look more modern and do away with window leaks thanks JWW
Interesting topic. My windows don't leak and I love the visability that the windows provide. Lack of a forward view is one of biggest complaints about today's boats. Of course, I use my boat to cruise, not fish so its probably less of a concern for those that fish only.

I closed mine about 10 or 12 years ago since than 4 of my friends all with 35 berts. have done the same and we are pleased with it 4 were done in white no ploblem 1 with a black mask had a paint problem at first. I removed the bridge and cabin stripe put a new bow rail on and this made my 1974 look like a newer boat.I have not found any downside with this change. the same yard in n.j. did 4 out of the 5.If I recall they left the glass in added plywood inside and out glasses outside and finished inside with formica.all looks great with no problems. if your around nj I can show you a few. if you plan to do this project yourself I will confirm how my yard did it. I used to cover the front windows but the cabin looks small and darkness is not to my liking. I also noticed happier passengers when the window cover is off and less sea sickness.
