TV Cabinet

Post by Donmystic1 »

Has anyone modified, changed the design of the TV, Sterio cabinets? I saw someone posted a while ago, a small flat screen installed on the top of the cabinet looking for ideas to change that area.

Don, I am doing that this winter to mine. Got a sony 31.5 inch flat screen for the top and where the TV used to be is the perfect width for the surround sound receiver and DVD player. Not sure what to do with the small area where the old stereo used to be. Maybe movie storage? I will be putting the small surround speakers in the upper corners and the sub will go in the cabinet below unless I can find a better hiding place for it. That flat area will fit a TV 32 " wide by 22" high and that Sony was on sale at the right time, just jumped into my cart at Best Buy with the perfect measurements.

Ya, that space is perfect for that size TV and the other stuff in the box. Your wood looks great. What did you use on it ?
