I’ve been through a lot of storms and more powerful than this storm when it made landfall but this one was bad. It was a very long day and night with steady 50 to 65 and gusting to 90 at my house. Our power was out for a week but we had a whole house generator and we were fine.we lost some singles but nothing major on our house. Water was up to my waste on the my dock.We had 2 to 3 feet to spare before the water would have breached our house. Some of our rental property didn’t fair as well. All of them had some damage and we’ll be making insurance claims on 3. One house is uninhabitable. Another property lost half its shingles. Some of the properties lost siding and shingles. Good luck to everyone.

Buzz... glad you personally are OK, but sorry to hear of your properties. We here in our neighborhood fared much better than others not too far away. No flooding and very little structural damage except for one home which had a tree fall on it. We drove up from the Myrtle Beach area yesterday and were surprised at how many trees were down.. also signs and billboards were twisted or completely gone. Flooding and downed trees made travel difficult Power was lost for 3-4 days. When the power was out naturally our freezer couldn't work so everything defrosted and spoiled. Then refroze when power returned. Now we have about 70 pounds of frozen rotten food to contend with. We were very lucky, our losses are insignificant compared with many others. Please think of them when the inevitable pleas for help come.

Guys I am glad to hear you are all OK. Things can be replaced even rotten food Frank LOL. Having gone thru Bob here on Cape Cod which had sustained 90MPH winds it lacked the rain thus minimal flooding. I can understand and sympathize we are thinking of all caught in the wrath.
