Just ordered the components to build this system as I always have water in the lowest section of the bilge between the engines. Hoping this keeps it bone dry.
probably have to copy and paste the link to watch it.

dry bilge
Re: dry bilge
Tony, I’m doing the same thing for my 1988 FBC.
Haven’t installed it yet, just need to program the 10 amp Multifunctional Timer Relay that I purchased from Timers Shop (made in USA) to control the amount of time the pump runs.
I planning to start with 2 minutes on and 6 hours off and see how that works. The timer can be programmed for almost any time combination. The timer only cost $19.99 direct from Timers Shop.
I also added a inline filter, at the recommendation of a article I read about this.

Re: dry bilge
All my stuff is on order hopefully arriving next week. Since I don't have room for dripless shaft logs I am hoping this fix is the next best thing. When I re-cored the cockpit sole I built a PVC drainage system for all the hatches made a big difference. More to come

Re: dry bilge
Both the PVC drain system and the cockpit sole recore are on our list of things to do. I've been searching the forum for discussions on both. Al has us pretty squared away for the PVC drain system, but we really hat that spongy deck by the engines! So this dry bilge mod is perfect for us! I'll be looking up parts this weekend!

I'd be happy to send you pics of what I did with the re-core and drainage system. Be ready for a lot more soft balsa than you think. Feel free to email me at thebarnacle@comcast.net and I'll send shots.
The pump I ordered is a 1GPH 12v mfg. Seaflo $29.99 I ordered thru Overton's the timer was just 12v digital from Amazon 13bucks.

Kathy,
Sent you a bunch of shots So far I see only one email is showing as sent; they might be too large. I check later and if I have to send one shot at a time I will.

Just did this install. Moves water well, we will have to see the final result. Its set to pump 1 minute twice a day.
