Where is everybody?
wow why does nobody come to these websites any more? I hope people come back and post again
Re: Where is everybody?
It has been very very quiet. I can gladly say I’m less than a month away from moving the Roamin’ Beauty around to her summer slip. Impellers changed, engine zincs done not much to do this year just a good spit shine.

Re: Where is everybody?
Unfortunately there are only a few of us left that come on here.

Re: Where is everybody?
I check the site several times a week, and yes, it’s been very quiet!
I also check in at the Bertram 31 site witch is very active. Seems they absorbed the defunct Bertram 28 site with theirs and have some very knowledgeable members that are very helpful answering problems about Bertram's regardless of the model.
This site was like that at once, but as was mentioned, there isn’t many of us left. I’m be 76 in May and I’m wondering how much time I have left with my Bertram33. Every task is getting harder and harder to accomplish and my first mate isn’t as agile as she once was.
I hope the few of us that are left will try to be a little more active in our forum. Spread the word to any Bertram 33 owners you might see on the docks, they might not be aware of our site.

I'm still checking once a week. Hell, I sold Retriever last summer and purchased a 37 Duffy. Dealing with the flybridge was getting old. Had her for 15 good years and don't regret one minute of it. New owners are loving it and keep her in Portland Maine. Once a Bertram owner, always a Bertram owner. And I have had two. (1969 25')

Re: Where is everybody?
The way I see it, the smart phone, social media (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc...), and on demand TV (Netflix, Amazon, etc...) have killed most of the old forums. People (myself included) just don't surf the web like they used to.
I'm never on a PC anymore unless I'm working (like now). I couldn't even tell you the last time I cracked open my personal laptop and most websites/forums are not optimized for viewing on smart phones. I used to surf on my laptop while I watched TV (which was usually whatever local sport I could find) but now anyone can pretty much watch whatever they want whenever they want, wherever they want.
Sad to say, but it's hard to imagine it ever going back to the way it was. It's really a shame considering all of the friends that I've met here over the past 20 years or so.

Re: Where is everybody?
Also, the hacker (aka douche bags) induced changes we've had to make over the years have driven a lot of the old timers away.

Hello all ....
I don't check in as much as I used to, but still around. Can't believe I have had mine for almost 20 years.
