Re: repair after storm
Dominque,
Welcome to the forum and sorry for your troubles. I think your best bet would be to contact Danny at Hightide Marine in Miami to see what he has to offer. If you're not familiar with him, he's got a lot of the old Bertram molds for parts as well as some New Old Stock.
Good luck!

Re: repair after storm
You might also check with third party vendors. My 33SF was repowered--gas to cummins diesels--and all of that gear below was upgraded. I doubt that any is original equipment. Personally, I use HighTide as a last resort. Very expensive, and in many cases more modern equipment is available. I rewired much of the 12 volt electrical in mine, including batteries boxes and power box in engine area, and replaced the 40 year old breaker technology with an updated box and modern equipment.
Check with a Caterpillar marine specialist. That's where I would start. You may have to redo both sides if you upgrade, but it may be worthwhile to price it in.
Good luck my friend.

Also, you can get good information on www.boatdiesel.com on mechanical and engine issues. A subscription is relatively inexpensive, and there are many resources on that site and even better contacts.
Again, good luck.
