I pulled the trigger today...Cummins 6bta 370 with ZF 1.75:1 ordered. 454s coming out tmrw. I am going to have a bunch of questions so ill apoligize in advance. Does anyone have a picture of any stringer modifications they made prior to the new engine install? Whats the opinion of adding fuel polishing system? FrankP--thanks for the help with your local contact the local distributor came in to my yard at the same price point and they are the ones who "bless" the install for Warranty (and their technical guru has a Bert35 with 6BTA and will oversee the install..I thought it was prudent to make sure i had access to him..but i really appreciate your help.

Congrats. You've made a great choice that will greatly enhance your boating experience. Personally, I don't think you need a seperate fuel polishing system. Just keep spare filters on board (both racor and on engine). Just running the engines will polish the fuel.

Robert I think you mean Frank B. Our dog gone names are just too similar. At any rate, you will not need any stringer modifications other than just filling the old mount bracket holes with epoxy and cleaning it up for paint. Hopefully the yard won't try to tell you that you do. The job is very straight forward. You are going to be so happy with your boat and ease of maintenance.

Robert, I went with the Reverso GP - 3015 oil change system. I think I got it at the attached web-site. $396 sale price is pretty darn good. http://www.marine-electronics-unlimited ... riess.html
