Hey Frank, I would email directly this but I lost your address. I find myself in need of an infrared camera guy to do moisture surveys of large flat roofs. Any advice on how to find the right guy for this? I'm also thinking of getting an IR camera and trying to do this myself... but am wondering how difficult that may be in actual practice. Any helpful suggestions you may have to offer? Sean (

what do you think of this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-FLIR-i5-Color-I ... 1c172d0e84 Basically I'm trying to find areas of hidden moisture below roof membranes, and then also to show the clients some fancy looking photos in my reports too

Doug... Thanks for stepping in and giving Sean my email address.. if I can get any free time later this week I will get in touch with you. I will be in Salem and Beverly again. See below. Sean... I just read your notes above. I am leaving at 3:30AM tomorrow to drive to MA to do an infrared survey on some high voltage stuff for a client. I will be driving all day Monday (900 miles) and have Tuesday to decompress. I will not have too much free time after Tuesday. I will send you an email at your business address with my cell phone number so you can call me Monday or Tuesday. I have a close relationship with FLIR.. I was a sales rep for them for several years, and still have some contacts there.

Doug... My trip to MA was aborted yesterday after the client postponed the tests. The plan now is for me to go to MA some time in January. Will let you know the schedule when it is finalized.
