V Berth Interior

Has anyone replaced the wall paper and carpet in their V-Berths? First off Bertram used some kind of adhesive they intended for removal I’m pretty sure. My carpet that went up the sides of the V-Berth was pretty sure original, and pretty disgustingly colored the wallpaper was ripping and and a disgusting shade as well. My question is if you have down this project, what did you go back with? I have thought of going back with wallpaper, a paint and primer application (not Marine though but like a good gloss paint), and just order samples of the Arbolite laminate material many of us have used for the cockpit panels. A simple remove and replace the carpet has turn into a full on V Berth overhaul! Thankfully it’s in the winter and not taking away from boating time!
