With my diesels they spin on a dime-you can feel them engage when you shift them. Most twin outboard boats I've driven, it takes a little bit of throttle to get the same effect as just shifting a set of inboards. These boats are fairly heavy in my opinion for outboards.

Storage space is great, but at what cost? The last thing I'll ever need on my boat is bow a thruster. It just handles so nicely with the inboards, why would you want to screw that up? I can't even imagine the cost of that conversion either. Re-powering with diesels would have been far cheaper and would have a much better resale. I can't imagine buying that for $50K, let alone $190K.

I remember the story Brian Davin told of when he moved his boat after removing the engines and how he was scared to death because of the lack of ballast in the hull. He said at one time he was standing on the sides of the flybridge. How stable can that boat be with 2500 lbs missing in the bilge? I mean flybridge cruisers are a bit tippy with engines in there...Some people are just in love with outboards.
