Just wanted to say hi to anyone who might still come to the B33 forums. I guess the few of us left are dinosaurs.

Still here as well, waiting for the storm to pass so I can go to the boat and replace my 454’s exhaust elbows. Something my 74 year old bones find harder to do.

Also still here, but not much going on.
Sitting at my home office watching the rain from TS Elsa and waiting for the wind.

Richard, my 73 year old bones say the same thing. However, I'm waiting until after haul out this fall.

Still here, check the site often. We were supposed to head to the cape for the week but the helm pump started leaking bad so we cancelled. Probably was a omen. Rebuilt it Tuesday (easy job) but given the weather we stayed put.

We were going to reservations for P’town this weekend until we got an unexpected call last night from two childhood friends who surprised us with a visit to the Cape.

New member here, let's get it less quiet. 82 Bert 33 FBC bought almost year ago, twin Crusader 350s. Yes, would prefer diesel, but will see if these engines have another 750 hours in them. Used to have 74 Bert 28 in 90s.

Lobsta1 (Al),
Finished replacing the elbows on my 454’s over the weekend. Thee were still good after seven years, but the outboard one on the port engine was bad.
Can’t explain why only one was bad, other than a bad casting or maybe one of the four ceramic coated ones I ordered was not a coated one. The ceramic coating was a fairly new option back then and you couldn’t tell, by looking, if one was coated or not.
Will do a compression test tomorrow to see if any damage was done. Had this problem shortly after I bought the boat in 2004 and had to replace valves and a few valve seats.
Hopefully, not again.
Richard

Hi there! Weather has been nice out here on the west coast. We haven't burned the place down completely yet!

Hello all ...
Hope all is well. Just went through my Yanmars. New exhaust risers, turbos, injectors, and on an on. About 2K hours on them now. She looks better than ever - after having her for almost 20 years, as I watch my neighbors change out boats what seems like once a year.
Still get comments from Viking / Cabo owners, when my wife is looking at them to upgrade to, that they would love to have our boat. A good reminder to keep her. Big enough to make the journey, small enough to take out alone, or with inexperienced guests.
Boat still in FL, where my main residence is. Still have a place in NE but no boat here. Miss the rendezvous and bluefin tuna fishing since moving her down, but not the snow.
All the best,
Scott
