Happy Fourth. One outlet of my shore power not working. I switched the splitter still nothing, took the switch apart and tested it’s working fine. Before I start chasing wires might there be something simple to check. Thanks in advance.

Just below the inlet of the shore power socket, there is a fuse/switch.
Did you check it? It may be simply turned off or it should be replaced.

Didn’t find the fuse switch you mentioned. The only switch is the on/off switch below the inlet and it is working properly. Would the 60A fuse located under the deck have anything to do with it?

Tony, you have me confused. Are you talking about the shore power inlets? Are you using a 50A > 2 x 30A connector's. Have you pulled the receptacle out & metered the leads there. Have you tried another straight 30 amp cord? The 60 A buss fuse is a long way down the circuitry path.

Thanks for ur response, I’ve tried it all. Dif cord, opened the box and tested the switch, all working fine but still no power to the meter from that shore power inlet. Does that 60A fuse located under under the deck come into play at all?

I looked at the circuitry about 20 years ago. If I remember correctly that buss fuse is after the AC power is distributed. I don't have the switch you are talking about. I think both Rick & Doug had to replace a rotary switch in the electrical panel. Is the orange polarity light going on at all. Have you tried rotating the switch to maybe clean some corrosion off?

When you say rotary switch do you mean the switch in the panel that switches from shore1 to shore2?

That is the one. They are expensive. Is it always shore 1 or 2? Have you pulled the inlet out to make sure you don't have a broken wire in back? All I can suggest is you use a single 30 amp cord & then meter every step to see where you are losing power.

The other day I lost the stb motor. Then lost port motor & current & wind pushed me into mooring field. Small center console pulled me out to channel where I anchored. Tow boat would not try to put in my slip due to wind so ended up on commercial lobster dock. Yesterday I pulled all the harnesses apart up to the bridge. Used De-ox on everything & zip tied everything as tight as I could get them. For the 1st time ever I now have over 13v on the bridge. While we were out, the voltage on stb at the bridge had dropped to 11v. Port when down to 10.5v when engine died. Lower helm on both engines was 13v. at the time.

Sea air will do that to you. I’m glad you got it cleaned up. As far as my situation I’m no closer to solving the issue. The indicator light on shore power2 blinks so there is power but the voltage meter guage shows zero.

Has your indicator light always blinked when that circuit was energized from the pedestal? On my boat and a number of other Bertrams I've been on over the years the shore power indicator lights have always had continues light when energized.

To the best of my knowledge the light in the panel has always blinked.

Does the indicator light for shore power 1 blink when it is energized?

Maybe a not very smart question, apart from the voltage gauge that shows zero, you have verified that indeed e.g. the sockets do not have current right?
