Re: 1985 33 FB???
Got email from owner and the 3116's are 325hp. I remember this boat now it has been for sale off and on for several years but more then double price asking now. The genset is a Farymann diesel gen that the owner says turns over but won't fire. He also said Genset swallowed sea water a couple years a...

1985 33 FB???
Just stumbled across this boat in NJ. She has been on the market before but now looks like the owner wants out. What are your thoughts on it?

Re: Big Block Gas Engine Prices
The 6.0 is a great engine. Over on the Blackfin site there is a guy who has them in his 32 FB and is getting around .8-.9 NMPG at a cruise of 24-25knt. I would think the 6.0 is a great engine choice for the 31 Bert, she is lighter then a 32 BF. Also you will have great engine access to work on them ...

Re: Big Block Gas Engine Prices
They don't make the 8.1 Crusaders any more. If you want 8.1's you have to look at Mercs and they are expensive. I would look at 6.0 375hp and 6.2

Re: New 33' SF for Sale in Long Island
Jim She has been on the market for a long, long time. Boat is pretty tired and needs some money spent on her. I have spoken with the broker last year and a gentleman on the Bertram FB page actually looked at her last year as well. Anyway here is the link to the listing on Boattrader.com https://www....

Quick question. The new layout 33 SF (86-newer) how much head room is there in the head? I'm 6'3" and wondering if I would need to duck when in there.

Re: 33 repower and running gear?
Over 15 years ago went from gas to 3116 cats 350hp. ( ZF 1 to 1.5 )On a 35 Bertram upgraded from 1 3/8 to 1 1/5 shafts same struts with a cut down cut-less bearing. My friend did a 33 with 3116 cats 300 hp.from gas and believe the boat already had 1 1/2 shafts I know he did not change them. With a ...

Re: 33 repower and running gear?
Thanks for info everyone. I'm not repowering, those days are over. If I get another boat it will have all that done already. I was just curious what people had done.

33 repower and running gear?
For those of you that have re-powered with 300/330 Cummins or similar Yanmar or Cats from gas did you have to upgrade your running gear (shafts, struts etc)? Just curious thanks Jon

Re: 33 FBC Family Fishing/Cruiser?? Newbie
Thanks for the reply. I have looked at that repowered 33 in VA, as well as the NY repowered with cummins. Per your suggestions I found last years post on that exact boat for sale, very interesting. It is odd that the gauges are not the same as the exact same repowered boat down in FL, as well as som...

Re: 33 FBC Family Fishing/Cruiser?? Newbie
All the boats that are out there now have been on the market for a while. The 33FB with cummins in NY for $56K was listed for $46K last year so someone is trying to flip it as nothing has bee done to it. There was some conversation about that boat here so if you do a search you should find some info...

Re: Rick (Ticket radar arch)?
Doug I would definitely prefer a hardtop but a radar arch that folds down allows me to get a 33 SF to my friends boatyard which is about 2 miles from the ramp at Bass River. I barter computer work for winter storage, winterizing, shrink wrap etc I am in wait and see mode now as to if I even buy anot...

Thanks for getting back to me and info. I have a line on a 1979 33 SF diesel that will need a radar arch or hardtop.

Rick
Wondering if you got the radar arch made for your 33 and if yes was it local here on Cape or in SE MA? Also does it fold down for transport over the road?
Thanks
